    Hey guys i was looking at a Mongoose Otero for XC and Endurance. would the stock setup be good for that? Cheers!

    No. $500-600 is not nearly enough for a quality full-suspension bike. It's the bottom-end of good hardtails. A cheap bike will wear out quickly and require expensive repairs. You'd be much better off saving more money or getting a hardtail from a good shop. Good shops don't sell Mongoose anymore.

    I'd take that money and hit craigslist up some deals to be had on there if you spend the time and shop around.
