    fueling 100 mile clif shot bloks vs jello

    Hi have a 100 miler in a month and trying a few diffrent energy products latest being
    Clif shot blok chews but to be honest they look and taste like jello thats straight out of
    the box is there any major advantage to them? I know there is caffeine but can get that from other products.

    Jello is 100% natural has double the calories is a lot cheaper and comes in many nice flavours,

    Anybody tried jello or should i stick with specialist products?

    Read the back of each package then come back and ask again if you still think they are interchangeable.

    Both...

    are high in simple sugars. Simple sugars are much more difficult to tolerate than long chain sugars (maltodextrin). I always prefer the long chain sugar energy products (most gels) for this reason.
    GU, alternating with GU's Roctane works well for me whether it is a long ride/race, or a big day of splitboarding.
