Patterned after the Dirty Kanza there is a new race in Colorado on August 17th that will challenge even the most seasoned and tough endurance cyclist. Colorado Dirt is 135+ miles almost all of it on the dirt roads of Grand County with over 13,000' of climbing rising above 10,000' four times. This self-supported race requires each racer or team to have their own crew, where at each of the three check points they can replenish their supplies. People can race as a soloist, as a duo (taking turns), a 3-4 person relay or a 5-6 person Gentlemen's Race where the team rides and finishes together.
