Anyone done 24 hours @ Spokane?

Looks like I'm going to the 24 hour race In Spokane memorial day weekend. I'm just looking for some feedback about the course, typical wheather, organization, ect. Thanks.

... and if we just ...

I raced 2 years ago solo.
Very fast, fun course; more doubletrack than I would've preferred but also very forgiving by Sunday morning. I think they may have built more trail last year.
Weather can always vary: 2003, some sprinkles Sunday AM, lows about 45-50.
Very well organized, I guess they had a huge potato or pizza feed @ midnight.

    Good luck and have fun.

I raced Spokane last year and had a blast. It is a fun course, not technical and fast. Last year by 3:00pm it was in the upper 90's! So, I agree that weather can be variable. Be prepared for anything. It is a well run, fun event. See you there!

Is there a website for this? I've been wanting to try a 24h near my home.

I've competed in this race the last 5 years. Weather can vary greatly. One year it rained cats and dogs the day b/4 but we had great race weather. Two of the years it got up in the mid-90's and I cramped bad. Two years in a row (not sure which ones as they have all started to blend together) it rained really bad around 3AM but it was for less than an hour. I would be flying up there again to compete again but my baby girl is due around that time. So I'm taking this year off but I'll be back up there next year.

The event has a grassroots type feel to it. Everyone is out there just to have fun. I would highly recommend the event to anyone who wants to give endurance racing a try. It was my first endurance race and now I'm hooked.
Why would I need more than one gear?
