I have had good success running IKONs the last two years but my tires developed blisters this year from stans so I switched to 2.25 RARAs in the Snakeskin variety. I had a flat on the Wilderness 101 and another flat preriding the course this past weekend. The flats were punctures in the tread, not the sidewall. I like the tires but would prefer to not flat in the race. i am thinking of putting new Ikons on with Continental Revo Sealant or running a RARA in the rear and a Nobby Nic up front. I amy even run a nobby nic/Ikon combo. i am concerned about rollling resistance with the nobby nic and all the fire roads. Anyone have any experience with this tire for endurance races. I ride a 29er Carbon Highball. Thanks.
