Witness Fox Float R rear shock

I recently received a Fox Float R rear shock from a friend, off his Ellsworth Witness (I believe 2007). The shock says "Exclusively tuned for Ellsworth." Does anyone have an idea of the propedal setting in this shock? Would it be overdamped for a single full suspension application? I have a 2007 Stumpjumper and am not that happy with the compression damping of the stock Triad shock - it's too soft on hard input, like accelarting over rocks. Others have used this shock size for their Stumpjumper with success. Before I spend the time swapping them out (2 kids, time is short), just digging around for some feedback.

    Who Knows!

I would send the shock to push and have it set up for your trails, weight, and riding style. I t would cost 150 bones.
    Too wet to ride!
