What's much better about the asymmetrical chainstays?

I'm looking between the 2006 and 2008 Moment. So far, the 2006 Moment has the older style rear end, that allows me to use my favorite cranks, the Raceface Atlas and Deus. That said, what's better about the newer asymmetrical version, e.g. is the '08 stiffer?

On a separate topic, anybody know if the headtube angle is different between 2006 and 2008? Thanks.

I'll let you know if the asym I got lives longer than the frame. I have cracked two of the old stays.

THe HT angles are different between the '04-'05 and '08 for sure. 69 degree as apposed to the new 67.8 degree. I think the BB is also higher by 1/4 inch.
I'm under the impression that the '06 is the same as the '05s.

Yes the new stays are supposed to be stronger and stiffer.
