I know that a medium sst1 weights 2580 vs a 2009 truth 2590 grs . I have a demo sst2 that needs to be disasembled for weight verification, as soon that is done I will post the results.

The Moment is listed as 7.4lb and the Epiphany at 5.9lb. Anyone know if this includes the weight of the shock?

Does not look like it has lost much weight if any from the previous version

The weight of the frame is going to vary depending on the size as Ellsworth uses size specific tubing. The front triangle of the L moment weighs less than the front triangle of the XL epiphany- when I chose my bike we weighed both. The best bet would be to contact ellsworth and ask directly about the exact frame you are looking at.

If you listen to Tony's vid he says the new integrated seat tube pivot saves 60g. Not sure if the headtube adds or takes away weight.

The only other way to save weight is to upgrade to the titanium pivot bolts. That saves 30g. So assuming the frame is indeed 60g lighter you could save 90g or 1/5th lb.

Thats interesting. The list weight is 7.5lb and the shock weighs at least 1lb maybe more.

So that would indicate the listed weight is either with an air shock or no shock at all.

I would assume that's with an air shock. My large firebird frame with rp23 weighs 7.5#.
