    Truth Bike Porn

    hey gang, just checking in...figured i'd post some photos of a new Truth we just finished building up.
    its a 2008 Frame, just came fom Ellsworth, size med.
    we went with m970 RFP shifters as we love the low weight, the functionality and hate DCLevers. based on recommendations of Competitive, we went with Formula Oro Puro brakes which are very very light, gorgeously finished and have great braking power.
    rather than 'another' bike with easton, we went with Ritchey WCS 4axis stems, bars. we had to use a syntace post to handle a 76.cm center bb to top of saddle post height.
    we love the Industriy Nine wheels which are 1440 grams. stock rotors as we tried the stans but they had too much squeal.

    with eveything on it, cagtes, pedals, the bike weight in the 23lb range. 23.5 more or less depending on how the winds blow the scale. 23.8 as per the photo is where it currently weighs in.

    we went with a Fox Float RLC insteado the talas for weight. sure, its not much, but we had the talas forks on a few bikes last year and we never modified ride height, so why bother. rear shox is a float R, again, a change/setting switch we never made.

    we have 2 of these mediums and wll probably sell one of them. the other will be ridden and raced hard core. i think we'll be asking $5k for the bike, which specs out at about 6700. we hoping to hit the trails this coming sunday!

    23.8 lbs very nce. we have an intense 5.5fro cominga, 5.5 inches of rear travel. that weights in at 24.5lbs.

    see some photos.

    Sweet bike. I agree on the Float. No one I know messes much with their adjustable travel on their Talas....

    FS: size medim for sale

    Well, as they say...ugh....!
    turn sout the medium is just too small. took it out for about a 6 mile jaunt as sweet as she sets up, rides, etc. its just too tight a cockpit for me at 6feet. I thought i could make it work. Tried a slightly longer 120 stem but still feels tight. most probably just because i spend so much time on my road and TT bikes...but rather than stress about it, i'll just blow out the medium and get a large instead.

    So...long story short...for sale, 2008 Ellsworth Truth, size medium, black, as new (1 ride, ~10 miles).. $1700;

    or, if you really want a full complete bike, and have the cash for the best, this too would be a sick good deal. $4200 for XTRm970 rfp shifters, xtr ders, industry 9 ultralite wheels, ritchey wcs stems, bars, syntace carbon post....23.8lbs fully loaded.

    so, if interested, a great shot to get a new frame for wholesale, or if you awnt a complete 24.8 rocket ship, i'll do that at , actually a smidgeon under wholesale.

    or if someone has a large 2007/2008 truth, new, we could swap.
