    They do break.

Some were true JRA's and others were asking for the break. It is true though that alot of the early Ellsworths had some design flaws and were prone to break. I was treated very well when I called to warranty the part and had a completely redesigned swingarm in 4 days, no questions asked. I wouldn't be worried about if you are purchasing it new and as a matter of fact my next bike will be an Ellsworth.
Ellsworths claim to fame is the lightness of the frames. Sure the frames are the lightest in the business but light frames will not be as strong or as durable as heavier ones. I have a joker 7" so I am not concerned about breakage(I hope) but I have read hundreds of posts from surprised riders who break ellsworth frames(Mostly truths and older joker/isis)while doing unremarkable normal riding. Obviously something is not right here. Maybe the newer frames will be more durable.

Nice ride. My Joker is just under 40lbs but I still use it as a trail bike.

    Joker 7

My first full suspension bike: Joker 7, XT / Mavic wheels, SRAM drivetrain.... just need a stiffer spring for the Romic (or to lose some weight) and a Marzocchi 66 fork

Nice rides everybody, just when you think you're special, some other s**tbag comes along and shows you up...oh well, that's mountain biking.

Here's my 2005 Moment - took it out for a couple of rides over the weekend, and am stoked!

    Good job! Green 2001

Well, here's my 2001 Truth. Although there seems to be a sense of aversion to this bike, I love it. It's been nothing but solid reliability and fun for me.
