    Parts for my Moment

    Hello,

I am just buying parts to build my new 06 Moment. Maybe you could give me some insight as to what would be the best components.

    But the basics first:
I need a 34.9 top pull front derailleur. But is it top swing or down swing?
The setpost is 27,2mm, but what size is the seat clamp?
And does the frame take a 12mm rear hub axl or only a 10mm bolt on?

    Thanks for the help

The setpost is 27,2mm, but what size is the seat clamp? FRAME COMES WITH ONE THAT WORKS REALLY WELL.
And does the frame take a 12mm rear hub axl or only a 10mm bolt on? 10MM AND EVEN THAT IS A TIGHT FIT.

    Thanks for the help

Seat clamp size is 31.8mm. Hope blue does not match Ellsworth blue, BTW.

    Great, thanks.
I will probably go with a 06 Marzocchi Z1 light eta fork. And I am still looking for a nice used Chris King or Headley wheelset. Best would be bolt on, wouldn't it?

Bolt on? For the rear axle you mean? It's not really necessary unless you just must have the extra rear end stiffness.

If you wanted to build a wheelset, Hope offers a 10mm axle for the rear on their Pro II hubs...a very good compromise to the expensive Kings (which require the specific axle or $120 upgrade to the heavy duty axle to be convertable).

Yes, 10mm bolt on for the rear hub. I would rather go with American hubs, because I don't like the sound of the Hope Pro II. I ride them on my Slayer and they annoy me a little bit.

Thanks AZmtncycler, is bottom swing the same as down swing? And is there a Shimano LX or XT version of this derailleur, or do I have to take XTR?
    Thanks again
