How do you like the Maxxis tires? What other tires have you tried? I've long wanted to try some of Maxxis' line, but haven't had the chance...

    Maxxis tires

For a while, I have Nevegals on all my bikes. But, once I switched all my bikes to tubeless, I had issues with getting Kenda tires to seal properly. Sometimes, they would seal, and other times they would ooze white liguid thru microscopic pores in the sidewalls. Anyways, so I switched to Maxxis. I'm running the Maxxis Minion DHF / DHR 2.35 on my Rogue and Moment and the High Roller 2.1 tubeless on my Moto-Lite. I've also tried the Cross Marks. The Cross Marks are very fast rolling, but I wanted more side lugs for cornering. The High Rollers are good all-around tires, although I don't think they corner as well as Nevegals. The Minions so far have been fantastic - no complaints.

The TST air feels very nice. Much smoother than the DH 5 air I had. The rebound is also much better.

I'm posting a picture, but its not a recent one so I have a fox fork instead of the magura, and control tech carbon rims instead of the ellsworth carbon rims.

Did you buy this bike as a package? I was just wondering the origin of the Ellsworth wheelset and why you'd choose that as opposed to some other custom build.

It is part of a custom build, I have a friend that works at Ells so he gave me a break on some stuff. I had the option between these and some suns and he had some good things to say about the way these wheels are make. I figure they nice enough bikes that they are not going to put thier name on some crap wheels. I like them so far, they are straight pull with spokes that taper on either end of the spoke. pretty nice looking too.

I am not a bike snob nor a pro rider so i figure these rims will be good enough for my riding. Sorry I cannot give you more info on them, I believe they out source the wheels to a guy based in Japan, not 100% on that. If you get a chance to see some in person check them out, they ride nice.
