    Moment headset ?

I plan to change from a Pike to a 160 mm fork. Is it necessary to change to a steel headset or is the standard Chris King ok? I remember reading a while back that this was important But that was before most folks were using bigger forks on Moments. It is an 05 model.

Personally I do not think it's important to have a deep cup in the moment for regular trail riding and smaller stunts.

If you are going big it would be a good idea. But if your going big you better be on a ROGUE.

Kings were creaking with long travel forks. A lot of folks ditched them in favor of FSA or Race Face designs. It's the different design that makes it work better for long travel applications. But mine hasn't been creaking at all in about a year of riding. Maybe the dirt is holding it together.
