    Interesting Romic difference.

    For an Id:

I had one of those Romics that were recalled due to an eyelet defect so I sent it in. It was 2.25 stroke, 8" I2I (I measured it one day is so it was actually 7-15/16")

Anyway, I got it back today and guess what? It's now 7.75" I2I. I haven't checked the stroke but it reduced my BB by over a half inch. I'm going to go measure the actual travel now.

    Food for thought.

Interesting and quite a conundrum. What year is your Id? I have an '03 and never heard of the Romic recall.
Why would I need more than one gear?

got to romics website and decide http://www.romicmfg.com/

Mine started leaking at compression adjuster. I'm quite happy with the shorter length so far.
