I suspect that with your economy in real trouble, Americans aren't buying a lot of high end bikes like they used to. Plus, I'm riding a lot more asphalt, like most of the people up here. Although I live at the trail head for a 100km XC trail system, I've only been out a couple of times this year.

Maybe there's more activity in the cheap bike forums.

I'm not sure, perhaps I'm just getting older and am getting into riding the Niagara Escarpment on the road bikes. I can do a 100km loop in the same time as a 35km on the trails.

That said, we plan on doing more XC this year, exploring the Bruce, Ganaraska, and Trans Canada Trails which are at my doorstep as well as the traditional Kolapore, 3-Stage, and Blue Mountain trails in the area. Mrs. M. has been talking about learning to DH, maybe this is her year.

Lol, they're still buying a lot of high end bikes. Just check the "other" forums.
