    Has anyone built Ellworth fullsuspension bike using Rohloff speedhub ?

    Interesting. Wonder what the weight is like and also the engagment. The only internally geared hubs I've seen or felt have been wicked HEAVY.

    If memory serves this is the hub on the "ELLSWORTH RIDE".

    One question. How would one address chain growth? I'm sure that even the mighty ellsworth suspension design has a bit of chain growth. With out a Rear Derailuer how would it be addressed? Certainly not with one of those Hoakey chain thingamabobs guys use on their SS.

    The weight is about a pound heavier than a typical 3x9 drivetrain. Chaingrowth is handled through a chain tensioner. Rohloff makes one. Here's my recent experience:

    Hi yes i am just building up a Merlin Works 4.0 (Tiruth) with Rohloff Speedhub!
    Have had to make a drop plate for the front chain guide as the shock mount is inthe way. Playing around with the cable rooting to the hub. Its the 3rd bike i have had this hub on and have been riding Rohloff hubs for over three year it the only way to go.
