    08 epiphany

Considering checking out an 08 epiphany, but curious if it's going to fit my type of riding. Most of my riding is what I guess I would consider aggressive XC/light AM. Smooth flowing single track, technical single track, rock gardens, everything really other than big jumps/drops. The one I'm looking at is built with 150mm rock shox revelation forks, rp23 shock, 2x10 gear set, DT Swiss wheels, avid juicy 7 brakes. Everything I read makes it seem like its a great match for me, but curious how it'll handle the downhill rock sections that make up a decent portion of the trails I ride.

A friend has the '08 or '09 (don't remember which) Epiphany. I've ridden it and thought it had a great suspension design, very supple, good small bump compliance and no tendency to "pogo" going over bumps while climbing. He rides Utah, including Moab, with no problems. It has a steeper head angle than newer designs (but it'll be a bit slacker with a 150 on the front), but I thought it was a really nice bike. It sounds like it would be a good fit for the riding you've described.
