Where are people ridin for the long weekend?

So where is everyone going this long weekend for a ride?
Me personally, I'm going to the Don for a late afternoon rip.
    Hydrocut on Saturday.
    Albion on Sunday.
Tentatively back to the Hydrocut on Monday.

This is all of course as long as we don't get hit with another monsoon.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a 3 Stages group ride tomorrow. Failing that, I might see tonight if anyone wants to hit up Blue on Sat.

Sunday I'm with the family and Monday will probably be 3 rocks/Durham, definitely if we get rain on Sunday as predicted. If not, I'll probably hit up the Don and see how the East side is coming along.

Does your road tour include Welland on Saturday afternoon? They have a twilight Criterium going on. Should be fun.

Also Canal Days in Port Colborne and Rib Fest at Montebello Park, St Catharines.

Please don't ride the Hydrocut this weekend. It's not dry enough and the trails have seen much damage this week. If we get zero rain over the weekend, it might be ok on Monday.

    Now you tell me

I won't be in St. Kitts, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll be arriving @ the Inn At Lock 7 tomorrow afternoon. Monday I'm riding from Ft. Erie back to the Falls along the river. That leaves dealing w/ the Canal Days crowds for Sunday. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

I may have a couple guys coming with me so we will ride it but timing is getting hard.

The plan is to work on four consecutive days of road mileage. I did a quick 70km tonight after work, the plan is for 100km tomorrow and again on Sunday. Monday's plan will depend on mental and physical condition...

I don't get a long weekend, just one day off.

Saturday: Ride to work and back
    Sunday: Canal Days MTB race
Monday: Ride to work and back

Was there thursday eve. Not too bad - some mud patches on the southern part of Old Jay. Stinky (or is it Skunk - the southerly single track) has mud here and there but nothing terrible. Big Meanie wasn't too bad either.

Thanks Dr.Zoid, rode ravenshoe this morning and it was in great shape. a little mud here and there in Skunk and Big Meanie but very dry everywhere else. Bugs weren't too bad either (for ravenshoe)

Holy crap, 6hrs in 3 Stages I only rode 5hr at Blue!

I was delayed due to the fam in the morning getting out, add to that the weekend traffic and the drive up was less then enjoyable.

Blue otoh was a blast. For a Sat, there was virtually no one there, never had to wait more then one gondola to get on. Trails were in excellent shape and I had loads of fun, must have ridden Shot Glass 4 times in a row I was so happy to see the log ride again. I really miss the stunts but it'll do for now, I'm not ready to completely abandon the DH scene yet.

I'll be playing in the Don in a few hrs, haven't been to the East side since the Spring so it's time to check it out and see what kind of shape it's in. That and I'm looking forward to hitting up some wood structures on both sides of the river.

I haven't been to the Don for a few years. Slippery off camber clay last time, it must be a lot better mid summer and dry.
Some of the wood was getting old as well but I've read here and saw a few pictures of repairs being made.

    2 Don's

Had a great ride in the Don today and the conditions were dry, hard and fast.
IMBA and who ever else that has been involved with the stuff from Pottery Road North to just past the sewage treatment area, nice erosion control, very sustainable well done work. The layout is a pleasure to ride and the pink flags marking your future work looks great beside the old fall line trails we were on. You people have your work cut out for you, but what a ride it will be after you are done.

Then comes Don North past the sewage treatment and the bridge, Narrow kick a$$ stuff with some great flow. The stunts roll better then anything I have been on before and are in great, no incredible shape. Did not feel a loose piece in the place. Some people must take a lot of pride in their handy work. Wood work that flows like water...what a pleasure to ride. PA and Catalyst holy side cut beauty. Allot of work and smarts on those trails.

Just wanted to give 2 thumbs up for all the work some dedicated folks have put into a surprisingly sweet ride spot.

Yeah I was in the Don for a few hours this afternoon. Great conditions, perfect traction, even with my small block eight.

The woodwork was a blast, although there's a tree down on Instant Gratification after the drops (which were fun too) that caught me by surprise.

There is some new wood work on the East side, wow peeps have been busy in there. Must remember to bring flats next time.

Sad to see the Uber in disrepair and overgrown, it really needs some TLC if it is to survive. So much work went into that trail to begin with, I'd gladly put some hours into cleanup & re-routing.
