Thanks to whoever put this location down on the bucket list thread ~ 1 year ago.
I visited Secteur Shannahan last summer travelling from NS to Ontario. Wow. Our major "destination" mountain biking the previous year had been to Kingdom Trails in Vermont.
These are both hiking and mountain biking trails - the later run through sugar maple stands lined by sap collection, they are (apparently) considered too unsightly for hiking! My wife and I (both older mountain bikers) rate our trails loops by whether they "level", "more climbing than down", and nirvana "where was the uphill?". We both felt that Vallee Bras du Nord seem to be a downhill run, despite starting and finishing in the same location.
This seems to be a unknown gem. While we were there, there was too much fluorescent lycra and only "Je me souviens" licence plates in the parking lot.
