    Unexpected Response

I was out yesterday heading to the local skate/BMX outdoor park. On the way in there is a hill with a paved double hairpin turns that are back to back. You can see most of it except for the very bottom as you come around. This is short and steep and really fun. I was bombing down it, and using the rear brake to slide around the turns. At the bottom around the second corner was an old lady and her little dog. I had no issue stopping for the dog which was running loose. I expected her to freak out at me but she did/said the following:

She gathered her dog and put him on a leash and apologized for it being loose.

I said I should probably not being going that fast and the she said what blew my mind:

Oh but it's more fun that way!

I was left speechless. I was getting ready for a negative interaction, but instead within a couple of pedal strokes had a big smile on my face.

    That's an awesome response.

I had some similarly positive run-ins with people yesterday too. I think the nice weather this weekend made people more relaxed.
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

Lotta good one of those would have done me on our trails yesterday. A tour bus load of foreign tourists hiking in groups of 10 or more were clogging up the trails. That was bad enough, then most of them had ear buds in, even yelling behind them they could not hear me. I gave up, I was polite, but I just rode between them and went by.
