What kinds of flowers are these?

    How endangered are they?

    Where is this?

I spot a red trillium (wake robin), a trout lily and what looks like a white bleeding heart. All gorgeous (I love this time of year), but endangered? Maybe if you'd posted orchid pics... (Please do - I quite enjoy your flower and food posts.)

Call me crazy but I don't think any of those flowers are endangered. All the local conservation areas have been flush with them for the last month. It's just late in their seasons is all.

It's been a fantastic year for blood root, trout lilies and triliums!

    Is bleeding heart even native?
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

top one is when i looked it up, but i might have mistaken it with an orchid that looks the same. now i see it does not have the fringes on the petals as the orchid does.

found this site today which is very helpful
