it's gonna be crap like every other year. i suppose you can wait until the last couple of hours on sunday and maybe walk away with a moderately priced complete. i always hear about deals but i've never actually seen any.

I agree I don't usually fine anything to buy but I still enjoy going. The sunday deals at this one are not as good as the spring show. This is the one day only 7 hour blitz Saturday fall show

Saving me entrance fee this time. It is always a disappointment.

After dishing out parking, entrance fees, and gas money, a really good deal may be difficult to find in the end. I wouldn't waste your time.

I like sticking with online deals...much less hassle and waste. Better prices.

As Ricksom has suggested, best to find your own deals in the comforts of your own home on the interweb!

    I always find good deals.
I bought my SX Trail there in the spring, and also my full face helmet and armor. It was all really cheap, and it's decent stuff too. All said and done I remember saving like a thousand bucks on my SXT over MSRP. Fall show is always smaller but deals are still there. Of course you have to need the stuff to get a deal. I've been before and not bought anything too.

I really enjoy the Fall show but since I'm already double-booked with other bike-related stuff on the same day (trail build and if I wasn't doing that, Day 1 of Toronto Cross), it's out again this year for me.
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

Most shops will sell things in store for the same price as they let it go at the show this time of year. I always prefer to give a local a good deal.

Yes, I know of at least one local shop that typically has an anti-bike-show sale, instead of actually going to the bike show to try and sell stuff.

Aside from all the fun you can have digging through the NOS odds and ends, the Trek Store is usually blowing-out a bunch of their demos and team bikes. If you're looking for a used Trek in tip-top shape, it's hard to beat!

As the owner of a few Treks, I can say that they crash splendidly.

I have never been to the fall show, but I just may go this year. I've been looking for a new 29er wheelset, preferably SS.

I go every year, but make it a double-header with the Ski & Snowboard Show. There's deals to be gotten at both shows. I've found a number of awesome deals on chamois, jerseys, pedals and the like.

I enjoy it but can also see why others would not. To each their own, I say!
    I love riding my bike!

This is the first year that I will not be going. Each time in previous years it was a pretty big let down. I'd rather go ride.

Me too (on all counts). What time are you going? I'm going to have to try to get there before you.
I'm looking for brakes as well, and some other odds and ends. I find brake choices online to be somewhat confusing.
    Cheers, Dave

No real question, I just find the options a little daunting (i.e. front/rear, rotors/no rotors, ISO/post, mineral/DOT, not to mention colours) Easier to actually look at what I'm getting eh?

No idea at this point, but if two wheelsets were bought together... Maybe we would get a better deal!

    c'mon skunky - ask him a question

there has got to be some sort of flat brakes out there that he is itching to educate us on...

how much money do you want to spend?

i may have what you need...

i am not going... based on my previous experiences - other than the social aspect - it is usually not worth it... all stuff that shops could not sell during the season, at mostly the same prices...
