    Good job! SRAM Power Link???

Is it a good idea to put a power link on shimano XTR chain???
Will this work, I'm tired of cleaning my chain while on the bike. Yes, yes I got
a power washer from MEC for $5 and it does work fairly well, but a sparkly new look to
the chaing it does not give.

So what's your verdict? Is the power link OK on all Shimano drivetrain.

It will work with shimano chains, but because of being different manufacturers, there will be a tiny inconsistency at that link.. the only time its noticeable is when you're running big ring, and 11t or 12t in the rear. Its tiny little slip at the chain joint. But FWIW Ive been using shimano chains and sram powerlinks for 2 or 3 years now.

I currently have a powerlink holding my Shimano HG chain together. I have not noticed any ill effects.

I like to hear from people who live close by!!!!
If bad advice is given I can hunt them down and beat them silly

Than again if anyone asks me a type of question like YOU did, same rule applies
