My new Ellsworth Evolve carbon finally showed up. Thanks to this new trend of mild winters I got the chance to get it out fir a ride yesterday. After riding my 34 pound fat bike for 6 or 7 weeks I felt like superman.
The weight of the Ellsworth is 22.75 lbs. He's given me the itch to start looking for a new bike but my wallet is telling me otherwise The pictures really don't do it justice, it's absolutely a beautiful bike
I hope to get it down to 22 with some smaller tires (I don't need 2.25's) maybe some 2.1 Rocket Rons , Some ultra light rotors and maybe rotor cranks. As it is now there are alot of ti bolts, ceramic head set and BB, foam grips and a seat post that scares me a bit at 134g. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. I miss the days of standard qr hubs front and rear as I am light enough that I don't need the stiffness benefit.
maybe you're just using the wrong axle. my bolt-on rear is 55g WITH the bolts. what's a rear qr weigh? i can't even find what size the rear is on the evolve.
