Raleigh Canada Manufacturing is no more.

Raleigh Canada Manufacturing is no more. I guess times have changed and demand for types of bikes have changed greatly!

Quite a while since they actually did anything but assemble Asian made frames at that location Canadian Cyclist - Raleigh to Close Canadian Manufacturing Facility

That leaves Devinci and Xprezo actually making bike frames in Quebec.

I felt a little sad when I read that. My first mountain bike was a Raleigh Rocky III. I thought it was pretty sweet at the time, biopace rings, 300LX components, rapidfire shifters. It was run over by a car after about a year and replaced with something else.

    Sad day.

My Dad actually worked for Raleigh back in the day...I remember my Raleigh Supercharger BMX and later a Portage mountain bike.
