I registered for my first P2A this aft (60)! Didn't get an email confirm either.

Thinking about HOTN too but 125k does sound a bit long when I just picked my first cross bike in 20 yrs up last night.

Where's a good place to get some cross miles behind me?

There's a few good spots between Paris and Ancaster.

Find yourself a good rail trail (I'm a big fan of the Dundas-Brantford-Paris-Cambridge one, myself) and get cranking!

Seems like there are great rail trails through Hamilton, Niagra, and West Toronto. Anything east Toronto that anyone know of?

I can't find anything that I won't have to get in a car for.

I got in contact with the OCA and they confirmed I wasn't actually registered.

I tried again, but on various computers and browsers, could never get the registration to even attempt to complete.

I contacted the OCA back, apparently this happened to more than just me.

Greg Rawson: events@ontariocycling.org

Greg helped me out and got me registered. He was prompt with the return emails.
Thanks for the info! Greg was quick at confirming my entry.

Stellar!

Do like me (and others), just find some rail trail and mix in some good long gravel roads and you're set! Great at any time of year I love my CX bike a lot. I do this as much as possible and rack up a lot of miles this way. Busy year coming this year though so I'm not sure I'll be doing as many. We'll see.

Loads of fun though. You're gonna love that cross bike.....

Oooh, she's a beaut!

I usually spend all of August through December on my cross bike exclusively (except for MTB racing) doing all sorts of mixed-surface riding. And for weeks like the one we just had, where trails are just too soft to ride, I do the same. Enjoy!

I think Ska unofficially created the "Paris to Ancaster 2012" thread. Wish we could put the year in the title. Got out for a second training run today. I'll teach those bass turds at Chico for not putting my name in the drop down menu.

Biobanker, the nap sensation seems to be related, after yesterday's ride and today's I had a strong narcoleptic sensat....

Thanks! I borrowed a friend's tcx for a couple weeks in October and was hooked. I love the freedom of these bikes, you just go wherever the front wheel takes you.

Im really impressed with how well this new 105 works.

I have riden nothing but full 7900 and XX for the past few years; the 105 feels shockingly similar to the 7900 (with the exception of brakes). Its shifting is great.

Had the JTS out for 70k on the road yesterday. Sweet!
