Louda, be a little bit wary though. And please understand that I am happy they offer this. One does have to remember we have seen in the past differing solutions to a problem from various manufacturers. Remember Race Face was one of those who started ISIS.

Nothing wrong with it. Except the bike industry has a history of creating things like this then dropping it out of production a few years later. Great example here is DMR with their Spline Drive version of what Shimano manufactured. Which of course they since ceased manufacturing so unless you have an old Spline Drive to send to Hombrew Components to make for you...well one is SOL.

Nice think with the current Sram spline system is companies like North Shore Billet shortly after it came out started manufacturing their own spiders and 1x chain rings to fit. And NSB has a history of continuing production of parts like this.

Personally again I am happy that Race Face has done this. But am wary of how long this will be around.

(smartass)I think you mean sub-500 grams. Unless RF has redefined physics as we know it: Negative mass - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (/smartass)

Also, was going to make comment about spider arms snapping, then noted that this design is spider-less. This comment could have also conceivably went in the smartass brackets.

Terribly sorry, I hadn't had a beer yet when I started the thread.

I'm SO GLAD Race Face is making a huge comeback! For a minute(in 2011).....I really thought they were gone for good.
