    To a tree?
    Fire Place?
    Car?

Failing that, the Outhouses are usually chained to their foundation...

The tongue on a trailer (if you're trailer parking). I don't think they have too many permanent fireplaces anymore.

    Easy...

    1. Forget the lock.

    2. Pretend you're doing an olympic hammer toss and launch the bike about 20 feet into the nearest bushes. No one will be in there overnight anyhow.

    3. Next morning, retrieve bike from bushes.

    4. Go ride it like you stole it.

You could always take it at least two portages in and chain it to a tree there.
The further from Hwy 60 you get the further from theft you should be.

Although I have heard a 'story' about someone stealing his way across Algonquin lakes by using unattended canoes at the other end of the portages he was on.

I locked my bike to my car rack or the closest tree. I also usually took a wheel with me in the car.

What if after you throw said bike into bushes - in the middle of the night a bear retrieves it and rides away with it?
