Lively town recommendation near Laurentian Mtns.

I'm looking to travel up to Quebec for the first time in a few weeks. Looking to be situated in a somewhat lively town and not too far from the mountains. Rent a bike, sight see, food, some music etc...
    Any recommendations?
What do you think about bus tours?
    Thanks

St Saveur meets your request for somewhat lively, good restaraunts and clubs on the main drag. Also the most expensive place to stay, suggest you rent a condo/cottage and bike into town. Great trails, over to Morin Heights its a little quieter and cheaper/less expensive.

Mt Tremblant is a great ski resort, little more north so your away from the clubs/restaraunts/shopping of St Saveur but you should find cheap accomadations.

I may be way off here, did you mean Laurentian Mtns in Quebec or Quebec City area/Mt St Anne?
