    Kelso Riders...

    Hey guys/gals...

Getting back into riding again and looking for XC riders. Currently working and living in Mississauga.

Looking to ride and train at Kelso, but would be willing to drive to other locations as well.

    Thanks....

Hey LewisBLK - Sent you a PM

I'll be riding on Friday morning probably around 10ish and on the weekend not sure if I'm going to ride Kelso on Friday or AF - or maybe both will either be on a Red/Black Scott Spark20 or Blue Intense Uzzi.

    Cheers,
    James

I am on the same boat as jamesL99. I plan on getting out on Saturday early afternoon, but have not decided on Kelso or AF. Will depend how things dry up/rain. I hate AF when slick. The rocks hurt! I am going to try and make it out on Monday as well. It is my wife's birthday on Sunday and I have to work around what she wants to do and her party this weekend.

I checked my PM and it all caught up now. Not getting any notifications....WTF...

Will ride all three days. Dry is good, but it can also rain.

Saturday I'm meeting a friend at 9am. But will stay for a while and explore different trails.
Will post up more on Saturday.

Later guys...back to work for me..

I managed to get out to Kelso this morning but not until around 10 I think I lost about 30 pounds it was like a sauna on wheel today.

I heard the forecast may be changing for the dryer on the weekend so AF looking a bit more promising - also considering Albion Hills only cuz I've never been before and I heard the ground is a bit softer than the AF rocks...

I don't race, so I don't enjoy Albion all that much. I feel it is a lot of work and not enough fun. It feels more like training than having fun. If you like all the climbing and going fast on smooth trails, give it a go. I am old and not built for racing so I stick to stuff with some features. I like the technical riding and love skinnies, totters and the like, but go slow. I hear Palgrave is more "fun" and is just a couple of minutes from Albion.

Hey we had this old discussion already....I think...LOL...we are not old but used.

You defiantly have to do what you enjoy otherwise riding becomes no fun.

My friend just confirmed for tomorrow 9am. If you guys decide to attend please let me know. More then happy to do a few more laps.

Kelso was good today, a few hikers and they were friendly and did yield as I approached, for that I say thanks. To the one guy walking up the hill, its easier to ride the bike than push it up that long climbing road

Was it a DH bike? Could have been me. Was the first time on it all summer, pedaling it made me hurt for a few days.

Deckard was making fun of himself for walking that day.

cleared "Ascension" on sunday 2 times no stopping, no walking after 6 weeks of "training" on weekends only, nice feeling but lungs, legs were going to explode, kept on riding till a big nail in the rear tire ended my buddy's ride riding down on "declined."
I'll have him tell the story if he is ready to talk

    Nope....I don't want to talk about it..LOL
All I know is nail and carbon frame don't like each other. Touched the paint fixed the tire and I'm ready to ride again.

Frame fix up this winter will be an additional $400
