As much as I have enjoyed riding my bike through the winter( daily commuting plus a little bit of singletrack), I am really looking forward to spring time ,I just want to get my full suspension out and hit those rockgardens. Well it's march already I am sure it won't be that long. It's kind of funny we've had one of the snowiest winters in years but I just haven't gotten on my skiis at all not even once, icebiking has been way more fun for me this year.
February is typically a crappy month for outdoor cycling IMHO - others may have different opinions. I only went on one outdoor ride this February, which was abut 35min on road.
Last year was not much different either. Only got out for 2 brief rides.
I'm definitely looking forward to warmer days with no snow in sight.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.
I estimate I 've done about 700 km since the begining of January. I've missed out few days because of heavy snowfall, but once the roads and sidewalks get plowed I am back riding my bike. Oh and no problems with my bike as yet, road salt hasn't dissolved my bike or any of it's components. I keep my bike oiled and greasy and just rinse it with water often to get the salt off.
