    If A Skid Occurs on the Trail

    And no on see's it. Did the skid occur?
    If you hurt in your efforts and suffer painful dings. Then you are doing it right.

    Heck, thats how I mark my way back home...just skid on every turn and the path is marked for the way back.

    Of course not. If no one saw it then it was clearly the motorcyclists, horses, ATV riders, jeeps, hikers, moose, barking spiders, invisible pink unicorn or some other entity which created the skid like mark on the trail.
