    I guess I'm done

WOW, that was a snow fall.

I guess I'll put my bike away for the winter.

I was wondering who would be the first person to complain about the snow we got here in southern Ontario.

I'm kinda surprised it took this long for a thread to get posted.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.

Yeah I did a fair amount of shoveling in various locations. Funniest thing is that the Rotary Trail was plowed before 90% of the sidewalks. Love it. Durham will probably be rideable in a week or two.

Yeah that guy goes by my house in the morning. I see him LONG before the guy who does the road and the guy who does my sidewalk.

I'm predicting that off-road trails will be ridable this Saturday .

I haven't given up on riding as yet, I hope to be back to commuting in a day or two after some more snow gets cleared from the sidewalks, and I am thinking of riding some trails this weekend.

When the snow flies I put the bike away and bring out the snowshoes, its a great way to get outdoors and have fun the in winter. I tend to go exploring alot and find some pretty neat stuff sometimes.

    Winter Trail Building Tools/Cross Training

I am off the bike commute for awhile. But now we have a good snow base so it is time to haul out the snow tools and rebuild some winter bike trails. I do some snowshoe running intervals back and forth and get a crosstraining workout and single track as well.

    The tools
    Trailhead 1st Pass 7th Pass

Let the trail sit through a freeze/thaw cycle then bring snowshoes to repack after each snowfall.
This is a harder ride than your couch, but it is more fun than just looking at your bike.

Hear you loud and clear Craig. Trainer season is almost in full swing. Just trying to keep some base fitness and avoid putting on weight this holiday season...
A bad day on the bike is better than a good day doing anything else...
