    Hydrocut in the Winter?

Anyone ride fatbikes there this winter?

Are the trails fairly packed down or is it a bad idea for me to venture 1.5 hours out there today?

This is very old information, but I know after that big storm just before Christmas, the hydrocut was a mess. Through January, I was hearing that it wasn't changing much (where people were focusing on riding there). In general I haven't heard of people riding there much, more at Punslinch. But anyway, that's all relatively old, but I haven't been hearing about much about it.

So If I was heading there, I'd expect a crap shoot.

Ended up going to Guelph Lake, which is absolutely perfect single track at the moment - about 10km of single track that is almost as fast as summer on the fatbike!

If you are planning on heading out to hydrocut in winter, you'll have much better luck hitting the snyders road trailhead than the dump side. A lot more foot traffic in the west end. Usually a few trails are good for most of the winter... bootleg, Jessica, multipurpose loop, etc.

Rode Twin Ponds aka Puslinch today - not good

Single track is all snowed over - half of the double track is the only thing rideable on the fatty.

Would head the Guelph Lake if looking for some good single track fatbiking

Very little mud, most of it was ice / frozen snow or slushy snow
