    Ganaraska Trail Signs?

    Hi,

I've been hoping to head out to Ganaraska Forest to give it another go (I went years ago and couldn't find much good trails, due in part to nothing being signed) and have read that the Paul's routes are marked through the forest now. Is this correct? I'm reading some conflicting information on the net about this. I've found route maps for the Paul's race and can most likely follow them without too much issue but would still like to know if the Enduro route is marked.

    Thanks!

30k trail is marked with pink arrows, its fairly clearly marked but if you're staring down you may miss one or two on some of the transition areas.

But you are correct, they are marked up

Awesome, thanks for confirming that. The 30k route is the one I'm looking to ride.

The 15, 30 and 60 km trails are marked, so go crazy.

How do these routes compare to other places like Durham Forest or...? Any other place. Any twisty singletrack?

Its very twisty, and the trails go on forever. There are some sections where you start to question if you've missed a turn or not because you've been on single track for so long.

The trails are much more raw then Durham as well. There are some nice groomed sections in there for sure, but Durham is very rider friendly. Ganaraska can catch you off guard when you start to get comfortable.

30km in Durham forest, I have some water, a muffin and go home. 30km in Ganaraska, and I'm jonesing for a post ride beer.

IMHO the Durham forest trails is what the 401 is to roads. The ganaraska has lots of true single track with just a narrow ribbon through the woods. Do to the extent of the trails be prepared to not see anyone else during your ride.
One person told me that he had ridden several places around the world and every time he comes back to the Ganaraska forest it goes through his mind this is a pretty good place to ride.
