Friday Night: Don and Saturday Morning: Porcupine Ridge

Conditions permitting, I will be riding the Don Valley on Friday evening, meeting at 6:30 Loblaw’s Trailhead. Rough plan is to do Motown (technical, no stunts) followed by Dr. Quads (technical, plenty of bridges and skinnies). Lights are obviously mandatory.

I will also be riding Porcupine Ridge with a buddy on Saturday morning at ten.

Fellow Eastern Canada riders will be welcomed warmly at either or both venues, regardless of pedal technology, wheel diameter, or garb. If you’re coming to Porc, please PM me and let’s exchange phone numbers, emails, or other mobile communication information.

You know, I working up there last week maybe 2 km from Porcupine Ridge, with the bike in the back of the car, and I...went home when I was done. Too tired from the workday. fail. Still gunning for the BDDR however.

Will you be riding the 4 porcupine trails over at Porcupine Ridge this time?

Hell yeah...if you'd asked me before this morning when I slammed a tree in the Etobicoke Creek trails after getting caught in the downpour.
Unfortunately I'm going to be off my mountain bike till Monday at Copeland.

Ouch! What did it: the lack of disk brakes, non-cycling specific clothing, heel angle?
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

Riding way too fast over a jumble of wet muddy tree roots on a downhill.
It appears I was unable to channel the skills of Steve Peat through watching his videos...
