Made it out to Palgrave for the first time today after hearing so much about it. I was not disappointed. The trails here rock, lots of up and down with excellent flow, killer switchbacks, optional rock gardens, jumps, etc. Beautiful winding singletrack. Things here are definitely more hilly than I am used to with my local trails but I was still able to make out well with a bit of momentum.
I printed off a copy of the Palgrave trail guide that broadwayline had made (Made a Palgrave trail guide). Many thanks to him for the guide, it helped me out a couple times when I was in doubt. If you have never ridden here its worth the trip even only if you come once. Its a nice alternative to Albion just down the road.
Some terrible photos
Afterwards I figured I was close enough to Coulson's Hill to give it a try, having never been there, and all I knew about it was whats written in the 2nd edition of "Rider Mel's Ontario Trail Guide"
Its a bit of a confusing mess of trails but some poking about got me onto the good stuff. Followed the marked race loop, it was fun. Glad I gave it a go but its not on my 'must ride again' list as I live so far away.
More bad photos
All in all a pretty good day away from home. I'd like to know how looks after the trails at Palgrave, I've heard the Caledon Cycling club but I'm not sure? I'd like to show my appreciation
