Drew Bezanson finds new lines at Joyride

This guy's insane. Never mind the crazy tricks, he creates lines that no sane person would consider. And this after being out for five months with a head injury.

Drew Bezanson from Justen Soule on Vimeo.

Here he was, taking it easy during his recovery.

Near the end I was like.

"That'd be cool if he jumped over the XC track entirely..."

    Incredible.

So much for that "NO TRANSFERS" sign. On the 2nd clip I thought the video was skipping a bit at the start, then I noticed it was because he was jumping from one skinny to the other. I definitely gotta try that one day.

Next time I'm on the XC track I have to look at that spot again. That can't be right.

    S!CK!!!11!

I like how the one kid just gives up riding entirely at the end. "Won't be needing this bike anymore - can't top that. WHAT??!??"
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

Drew's videos aren't designed to make you feel good about yourself. He's not human.

I nearly killed myself last time I attempted a transfer at Joyride. My ego still bears a substantial bruise.

I would like to know what's happening in the ol' noggin when people ride like this? I mean, the dude has huge skill, but I'd love to know what's going on neurologically.

I've read that world cup dh skiers eyes and brain process the upcoming terrain differently. I wonder if something different is happening here?

Anyway - the air and skill is just crazy amazing.

I think Drew is rapidly outgrowing Joyride. They're gonna have to put in a second level soon..

A lot of the footage in his videos is shot after-hours. You can't exactly have guys transferring from one ROOM to the OTHER () while the park is open.

That was amazing. Not just the height, but the distances covered are outstanding. I am just happy riding the advanced skinnies; never occurred to me to do tranfers. I have been following a lot of the DEW tour on Sportsnet, and this stuff seems to be par for the course in BMX these days. BMX and Slopestyle have gone totally insane with the level of riding. I can't remember who they were talking to about what goes through his head when he is riding on one of these programs, but he said it was not all that much. He said you should not be thinking at that point. He said that he pre-rides the course and thinks about the moves he is going to do and all that beforehand. When he is actually doing it, he said it's all about feel.

He practically did with that picnic table contraption!

Just got the inside scoop - indeed, the XC crossover section filming session ended at 4am on a Monday morning. That's one hard working guy!

Haha. I was thinking I was accomplishing something just making it to the end of them.

The XC loop gap is just insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. Forget a second level, he's going to need a landing ramp on the moon.
