    Buckwallow..."Beyond Awesome"[o]

"Beyond Awesome!!!" was a comment overheard in the Buckwallow parking lot. That pretty much sums it up...the weather, the colours, and of course the trails!

They close at the end of October. So the last day is the 31st of October. They might have the newest trail, or part of it at least by the last weekend.

thanks BCD, the pics really gave me flashes of my weekend there last summer.
1.5 hrs is well worth the drive so will have to try to make it out before they close up.

BTW are they open during the week this time of year? Last year was my first time up,

Damn, I miss being up there. Our cottage tried to burn to the ground, and was only gutted instead.

    See you next year.

Ack. Glad no one was hurt. Hope insurance takes care of that for you without too much hassle.

Wondered why you have been so quiet !!, I was thinking it would be good to do a proper Barrens ride with you this summer after that sketchy group night ride we did (that pace was good for pics though!!)
Looks like your 'excuse is valid...sorry to see that
    Cheers,

Yes, we are insured. It's just the hassle. Wanted to spend a lot more time there this year. I think I used my Buckwallow pass twice.

Here's a pic if anyone is interested in what a basement electrical fire looks like. It smells worse than it looks.

Now for the most critical question, are all the bikes safe?

The bikes travel with me. Only my old 80's-era road bike lives there, and it was in the untouched garage.

My photography pales in comparison to BCD's, but the other pics at my link are nightmare-inducing.

The trails were great Saturday. Crowds were light despite decent weather too. Sunday should be busier.

The new jerseys weren't there Saturday. I will patiently keep waiting for mine.

Nice pictures and great looking trails, I could have used a leafblower this past weekend on some local trails! I ended up wiping out on a wet leaf littered descent and my right pectoral is still sore from slamming into the ground with my elbow as a cushion!
