Best bike stores in Toronto.
I'm planning on going to Toronto for the day to check out some stores. I'm mostly looking for new cycling clothes (Assos, Etxe Ondo) but I'm happy looking around at nice bikes for hours. I'm going to Wheels Of Bloor and Racer Sportif. Any other suggestions? Road, Mtn. or Cross, it's all good.

Velotique
MEC always worth a visit
Duke's hey ho, good luck with finding a bargain
All problems in mountain biking can be solved by going faster, except the ones that are caused by going too fast.

MEC and Dukes are quite close.
You are right Dukes is anything but cheap. but you will see things there that not many other shops have (look up) and is always worth a walk through.
Be careful not to buy the whole store at Velotique,

La Bicicletta has a good selection of assos

Thanks guys. If there's any more good ones let me know.

Who has the best selection of high end clothes? My cycling wardrobe is all old stuff. I want to try Assos, Etxe Ondo, Rapha, Giordanna, Gore Bike Wear bibs, vests, jackets. Also I'm looking for Mavic and Shimano mtn.bike racing shoes.
Any suggestions?

Shoes are simple. Dukes. It's the only place that I would want to get shoes from.
Clothes though are hard work. I go from store to store to store and never find what I want.

I'm too cheap to go for all that high end stuff so I'm no help there; I get 90% of my bike clothes from MEC (although they are getting into some zootier stuff like Swobo...).
However, I wanted to add that I just picked up their newly redesigned Vuelta and Roubaix tights and they're great. New cut, new fabric and new features all combine for some pretty good value and they're both made in Canada.
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

Thanks for the tip.
I don't know if I'll actually BUY any uber expensive clothes but I want to at least try some on. We used to have Exte Ondo clothes locally but no one carries it anymore. The Ondo stuff blows away anything else I've tried and I don't mind paying for it.
I really want to try the Mavic Fury shoes too. I'm not going to order shoes without trying them on.

I did a search for you. The only Rapha dealer in Canada is La Bicicletta. They also seem to have most of the rest of the stuff on your list. Really wide selection actually. I should check them out sometime!

Another vote for Cycle Solutions, in particular the Parliament store. The staff are great - awesome to talk bike stuff with - and the prices are totally fair.
Also love Velotique. The store is full of great stuff, and Saul and Bev are super friendly with fantastic customer service.
On the other hand, I find Dukes super expensive, and kinda snooty. (yes, I said snooty) I hate stores where the staff are too cool for school.
