2013 Toronto Spring Bicycle Show. Are you going?
The 2013 Toronto Spring Bicycle Show is March 1-3.
Are you going?
What if anything will you be looking for?
I will be looking for 29'er and 650B full suspension bikes myself.

I take it beers and strippers are out of the question so probably bike parts. Maybe some nice MTB shorts if they have anything other than that gawd awful roadie ****.

I'll be going. I'd love to find a hardtail 29er to add to the stable.
-
I'll go, even though I don't have anything in particular I'm looking for.
-
I'll be there too. Not sure exactly when but probably at least for the OCA AGM assuming they're still doing it at the show.
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.
-
Nope. Rather go riding.
Edit,
Team NFI's fiscal measures for 2013 ban any event requiring payment to participate not to exceed 45-50 minute drive time.

It's not the same type of flea market free-for-all as the Fall show but there's still tons of stuff "for" and "on" sale - notably NOS 2012 bikes and demos. Caveat emptor!

always get blue passes at the show, watch some bmx, buy socks that say something witty...
-
I'll be manning the TORBA booth i suspect, BMX and 4x is always a treat, dirt jump comp too. trials isn't the same it was years ago, but i think it did start making a comeback...
I rarely will buy something, but those talking socks sound interesting...do they have sarcastic ones instead of the witty ones your getting, SS ?
Beer and strippers are after the show...
...a truly skeptical position would be a very uncertain one.

Who knows, big GK...you may even find a deal on a wheelset, or a nice pair of CK hubs. Just saying.
-
I expect I'll be manning the Lapdogs booth at some point. Come by and introduce yourselves if we just know one another online.
Also, that's the easiest place for me to get my photo taken for my '13 race licence. As I am no longer racing singlespeed open at OCUP, I can no longer get away with just a citizen's permit, dammit!

I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with that gig too, at least for some of the show. Odd, since I don't even live in Toronto.....

Planning on attending as usual
Blue season passes, check out dirt jumpers, watch events.. oh and buy socks

There is definitely stuff for sale at the Spring show and you can get things at least at sale prices. The Fall CycleExpo show is the one with nothing for sale at all.
I think the Spring show is more of a haggle show. If they want to make a sale, they have to bargain a bit. At the fall show, it's blow-out pricing and not as much haggling until later in the day when stores try to move whatever is left and hasn't sold.

Blue Mountain always has an early bird show special on season passes for their DH bike park.
-
I think I might make it down just to see what it is all about. Any excuse to look at bikes is a good thing!
-
I think this will be the first year in a long time I don't go to the spring show. I don't need anything for the bikes and the price jack then discount game is lame, and the house needs a new roof. Priorities I suppose. Maybe next year as I always enjoy seeing the new goodies in the expo area and watching the BMX / trials shows.
-
doubt it. it always disappoints but maybe i'll kill a day there.

Was thinking of heading down this year again. Have to grab a decent floor pump for cheap.

They could at least wash them before selling them.
-
One of the reasons I want to go to this show is to see the new 650B bikes....for sale. Unlike ExpoCycle where we just saw the manufacturers new offerings in 650B, I am hoping to see these bikes for sale and have more of a hands on ability to check them out.
