I'm attempting to remove the outer cage on my XX rear derailleur (2010 model) to adjust the cage spring tension.
I have the inner cage off, I've removed the allen bolt (cage stop) and I've fully backed out the captured screw that holds the assembly together.
What I can't figure out is how the outer cage assembly slides out of the derailleur housing. Some models have a D-shaped flange and you rotate the inner cage 180-degrees to remove it, but based on the XX schematic in the SRAM parts catalog, this model does not.
I've tried rotating the cage from one extreme to the other, but can't find a point where it feels like the cage assembly should pull out of the housing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
