    Xtr M960 2x9??

I haven't given this much thought and I'm sure this has been asked before. Are ther 29T middle rings made for this crank? If so is it possible to get the correct chainline? Would taking out the two spacers on my drive side work? That seems hokey.

If you want options, the XTR is the wrong crankset. With XTR, what you see is what you get. The chainrings are ridiculously expensive and there are very few options.

I run a 2x9 on the xtr 960 crankset, but Homebrew is right the options are limited. Replacement rings are expensive, so I just bought Boone Ti rings instead of the "stock" XTR rings.

I'm running a Boone Ti bash guard instead of the big ring, which is pretty much the only bash guard available.
