XT or SLX 3x10 to 2x10 crank conversion/bashring...

I'd like to run a 2x10 but with a 24-32 ring setup. Good deals can be had on the 3x10 cranksets.

Like 9 speed cranksets, which were an easy coversion with a bashgard, can I do the same with the 3x10 stuff?

Where can I get a light bashgaurd for this?

Also, do the Shimano XT rear derailures work OK with a 22t front ring (supposedly they are designed to only go as low as 24t up front)?

    Thanks.

Adding a bash to a 3x10 crank is exactly the same as with a 3x9.

BBG makes a nice light bash ring, and it's only $18 shipped.

If you're running a 11-36 cassette, a 24t ring should provide plenty of low end. The rear derailleur shouldn't have any problem with a 22t front, but the front derailleur might not shift as smooth and could give you some slight rub.
