    XT Hollowtech crankset

I'm considering removing the small and large chainrings and just riding the middle ring. I ride %98 of the time in that ring and want to save on the weight and complexity. I may remove the front deralliur as well.

Do you see any issues with this plan?

192 issues IF you do this... will for sure have to run a chainguide, like an MRP if you remove your front derailleur. If you don't want to run a chainguide, leave your front derailleur on and use that as your guide. Set it up so it rubs the least in the highest gear combo, you might get some rubbing in the lowest gear setting.
