I'm getting parts for my new bike, Turner Czar. Has PF30 BB shell, so I purchased a set of FSA K-Force light cranks, 44-32-22..
I have since found that the new style Front Derailleur only goes up to a 42.. Last version the M771 will do the 44 gear, but, there is a 10 speed version, and a 9 speed version. So my question is, is there really a difference between the two? It's still shifting three gears in the front, shouldn't it still work regardless of the 10 vs 9 speed? I get that the 10 speed chain is narrower, but how much will that affect the front shifting?
