XO Minor issue but very werid?

Hi folks I am a noob in the world of cycling parts, I was given some XO parts last year and I have been enjoying it ever since. However afew days ago I fell down with the bike at around 40KM/H on the road so I wasn't sure what happened to the shifters until I just figured out.

Whenever I push the lever to get into a bigger gear the lever gets stucks with the smaller one until I push it backwards then it goes back. Anyone can back me up here?

It sounds like the lever was bent in the crash. In my experience, this is pretty common - I've bent two of those levers. They are replaceable - any local shop can get them or some are on Ebay.

Wow okay thanks for the info but I had this before and it straighten out after awhile. Maybe I should just keep shifting it till it comes back to normal? The levers are alright they are not bent I just checked it.

They look OK to me, but of course, I can not see them at all.

The lever could be bent, just not so obviously with regard to all the other not straight lines around it. You could also have bent stuff inside the shifter itself. Trying to straighten those sort of parts is about a 50/50 proposition.
