XC/Enduro racer seeking new Crankset
I am looking for a new crankset for my Epic. I don't know weather I should just plop down for a XT or go for something non-Shimano. What options do I have from Truvativ, Race Face, or FSA? I don't want to spend any more than $150 on this, but it has to be light (not super light though. Thanks for the help.

I would go LX. Pretty much the same as XT except for steel chainrings and costs alot less. Change the rings and the weight is about the same.

I'm looking for some new cranks, too. The Truvativ Stylo with the external BB are looking attractive to me in terms of price and weight compared to Shimano.

I'd go with Shimano but replace the rings when they wear out with Blackspire Super Pro. They last ageeeeeeeeeesssssss!
Or I'd consider something from Truvativ, FSA, or Race Face.
I recently stuck a Truvative Firex on my hardtail, but I have to say the crank is nice but the rings are crap (they wear very quickly).
My new bike(that I am currently building) will get either a Shimano crank (Hone or XT) with Blackspire rings or a whole Blackspire crank and rings. The Shimano rings will then go on the Firex on the other bike....
