    X9 trigger paddle adjustable?

I just put X9 triggers and an X0 rd on my Turner 5 Pack. I've ridden XT/XTR for 10+ years. I feel like the distance between the two shifting paddles (rear derailleur) is too far and a little awkward. It's almost like my thumb has to go over the front paddle to get to the back one.

Will the allen bolt on the bottom of the front paddle allow me to adjust so that the paddles are closer together? I don't want to start messing around there if I'm going to end up with springs etc. all over the floor.
    Thanks for your help,
    BM

The X-9 triggers aren't adjustable for paddle placement, that bottom bolt just holds it all together. the X-0's have an adjustable position for the large silver paddle.
