    x7 rear

currently have a Sram X.7 Rear Derailleur 2010 - Medium Cage (Black)
what derailleur do you recommend for my set up, i need to replace mine.
    SRAM 9 Speed PG-990 Cassette 11-34
Blackspire Stinger Chain Tensioner - ISCG 05 frame
Race Face Evolve DH Crankset 175mm 83mm 24/36/Bash

should i stick with a x7 mid? or spend the extra cash for a x9 also should i stick with mid?

It really depends on your budget. You'll probably notice zero to very little performance difference between X7 and X9.....X9 will save you a few grams though. The question you have to ask yourself is if the weight difference is wort the extra $$$$.

Upgrading to an X.9 shifter will make a bigger difference than upgrading the rear derailleur, but even that isn't a huge difference.

What he said...almost no difference at the derailleur, quite a bit of difference in the trigger shifters.

Stick with the X7 derailleur. Upgrade the shifters.

Since your not running a bit ring (44t) a medium cage RD will be your best bet.
